PIO Shots?!

When did you ladies get to come off PIO?? I'm 6 wks on Saturday and still having to take them... ugh.  I dread it every morning!  I'm just ready to be done with them!

My last one will be the first day of week 7 (next Wednesday). I can't wait!!

I did at 10 weeks.  My RE gave me the option around week 8 of going on suppositories-but those are so messy that I actually preferred the shot.

You'll be done before you know it!

MY RE says I have it until 11 weeks. I don't hate the shot itself as much as the aftermath. My backside is starting to REALLY hurt! Oh well, it's a small price to pay for a LO. I'm trying to remember that.

I know the feeling! I'm only 5w4d, but I'm on 2ml of PIO every day PLUS progesterone suppositories 2x/day. I haven't even asked, but I'm sure I still have several weeks to go.

Exactly this.  They're doing weekly draws on me to check my levels, once my body takes over they'll let me off of them.  Right now even though it hurts, it's like my own little security blanket.  I know it's helping!

I may come off at 12 weeks if my progesterone is still very high. THere was a new study tht came out by the Vatican that IF people need more progesterone support throughout pregnancy they suggest it up to 16 weeks and then to continue testing to make sure the levels stay high enough.

I went off of them at 6.5 weeks but they were replaced with Crinone 2X a day.

Honestly if I had my way I wouldve stayed on them until 8 weeks and then switched. I HATED the Crinone and also would've preferred to deal with the shot. Plus, the shot gave me better peace of mind.

I was given the green light to come off the Crinone at 10 weeks, but naturally had almost a full box when they told me to just "finish what I had" so I was on it for almost 13 weeks.

My RE has you on PIO and Estrace until 12weeks.

8 1/2 weeks, then suppositories until 10 weeks (although for my own comfort, I used them until I was 12 weeks)

My RE says PIO and Vivelle for the first 12 weeks....5.5 to go!!

They told me I could stop them right after my second beta b/c my numbers were so good, but I asked to stay on them through my 6 week/6 days ultrasound. I stopped them after that. I was sick of them, but honestly they made me feel reassured.

I'll be on them until 12-13 weeks. Hopefully I'll start weaning off at 9 1/2 or 10 weeks but I'll only be able to do that and fully stop if my levels look good.

I'll be 10 weeks when I'm done. I seriously CANNOT WAIT, we're running out of real estate and we had a bad one last week with a lot of blood and I almost passed out! Lol, I'm so done!

I was told PIO until 10 weeks. Thought after I left my RE that the OB would say 8 or 9 was ok - but noooo - he said go to 10 weeks too. I did shave off one day though - just because I felt 9 weeks 6 days wasn't going to change any

My last shot is tonight.  I'm 10 weeks.  Had one every night up to 9 weeks and then every other night this last week.

I think I had 8 weeks of PIO and then two weeks of sups.  I hated those shots so much.  I used to have anxiety each night knowing that we still needed to do it.
