3D Ultrasound Question re: Gender of Baby

Ok, this could potentially be another dumb question, but here goes:  Would a 3D ultrasound aid in finding out for certain what the sex of the baby is if you couldn't really tell for sure from the regular U/S?

Yes, the 3D would aid in gender.  We went with a 3D u/s since Kaiser only gives 1 u/s.  We "tested" the 3D technician by telling him we knew the sex already but we want to be positive so we didn't tell him what we heard it was.  He said it was a girl and we confirmed that's what our dr's office said.

Yup with Nick they couldn't tell at the 20 week u/s so we had a 3D done.  i still want one done with this pregnancy because I'm still convinced she is going to pop out a boy.

It can.  But as with all u/s, it could be wrong.

Yes --- they can definitely see things a bit better.  And a lot of places "guarantee" their results...meaning that if they can't see it, you can come back.  The key is not going too late - the baby runs out of room to move.
