So.. lots of drama at Rocky Top yesterday.

Coach Jay Graham has left the University of Tennessee and accepted the Running Backs position coach at Florida State University. 

The "public announcement" said it was a decision due to scheme. But most don't buy that- when he was RB coach at South Carolina... they run a lot of what we are going to see this year. Running QB, read option, no huddle, fast paced spread, etc. Which, as Vol fans know, is very different from the Power-I run-between-the-tackles type of game that UT has run the last 20+ years. 

According to "inside sources", one being Erik Ainge this morning, said that Jay Graham was upset that Wide Receiver's coach Zach Azzanni was given the title "Recruiting Coordinator" and he wasn't. FSU offered Jay more money, UT countered and said they would match to keep him, and he left for a lateral move. But, they are giving him the "Recruiting Coordinator" title. The reason UT didn't give him the title was because he wasn't the best recruiter on the staff.  

Apparently, he also made the comment he "didn't want to be at UT"- no confirmation of that though. So.. who knows. We will see who CBJ hires as his new RB coach. Sucks we lost a good coach who is also a former player, but- it is what it is.
