I think this makes sense. I do wish these would have come out a couple years ago. Based on these guidelines, C would have been able to get his tubes earlier than he did. His pedi followed a 6 in 6 months and his ENT 4 in 6 months, both of which are less stringent than these new guidelines.
How ironic that I read this while MH had DS at the pedi this morning! We had no idea he had an ear infection & the pedi was shocked how bad the infection was since DS did not let on at all. I wish we didn't need the antibiotics, especially b/c he's on so many other meds right now, but I guess there was no way around it this time. Generally our pedi is very anti-antibiotics.

B would have gotten his tubes earlier too, based on these new guidelines.
I like both that they lay out guidelines for tubes more clearly and that they promote for a wait-and-see monitoring approach to antibiotics.
