Hi Everyone - I am just wondering if I should be worried or not. I have had two singleton pregnancies, but this twin pregnancy is all new to me.
So, I am 5w4d today and on Saturday 5w2d I had a slightly painful braxton hick contraction. I know I had done way too much, but I have a 1 1/2 year old and a 3 1/2 year old it is hard not to do too much. I drank a glass of water and laid down, it went away. But every day since then I have been getting at least one contraction, not painful just annoying.
My questions for all of you is: Did any of you have them this early? If so did you end up needing to go on bed rest? When did you deliver? Should I be worried? I am just so unsure of everything this time around. I am nervous for these babies all the time. I really don't want to be on bed rest I want to be with my girls. HELP!
Re: 15 Weeks and Braxton Hicks Contractions
Did any of you have them this early? Yes, I started getting them around the 16-17 week mark
If so did you end up needing to go on bed rest? Nope no BR
When did you deliver? 34w4d but this had nothing to do with going into labour. I had Pre-E and HELLP Syndrome.
Should I be worried? I wouldn't think so but I would mention it to your doctor. Make sure to stay hydrated and take it easy as much as you can.
I started having them around 15 weeks, got checked in the hospital at 17 weeks for them, contractions at 27 weeks as well. Had the babies at 31w1d. The BH aren't usually an indicator of when you'll actually go into labor, my early delivery wasn't related to that. (my body just decided it was time to get them out). Like pp said, drink water, rest as often as you can and you should be ok. I would mention it to your dr but it's not worth an emergency call.
ETA I never went on bedrest.
