My friend went into labor this past weekend and she and her husband got the shock of their lives. He's healthy and happy.   They are terribly excited about it either way, but now she has TONS of pink stuff that they need to return...

 

just goes to show you that you can't even bet on an U/S!

That happened to a friend of mine too! They bought everything pink and painted the room too. I mean, aside from returning stuff, can you imagine gearing up emotionally and mentally for a girl and then a boy comes? I think it totally messes with your head and it may even affect the bonding process a little. At least it did for my friends...

Yikes!  I think we all feared our DC would come out opposite of the U/S.  We had a boy name too just in case.

Same thing happened to my brother.  My brother and his wife thought they were having a boy, were super excited, U/S said girl.  Not quite as excite (have a 2 year old girl). Baby comes out boy, super crazy excited again but have no blue things for him.  LOL.  Shopping madness ensues.

OMG!  I was asking about this yesterday!  U/S told us girl, but the other night DH and I both had the same dream where I was having the baby and it came out a boy!

I've been hearing about this a lot lately.  I wonder if getting a 3D ultrasound would raise the certainty.  This would freak me out as we really want to know the sex of the baby.  hmmm....
