mucus plug? TMI alert..

Ok so I was on my way to the ladies room at work and I felt a light gush (I knew it was going to be a larger amount of discharge -  thank goodness I was wearing a pad) and when I looked it was a light brownish/pinky color that filled the whole middle of my pad.

Sorry for the TMI but does this sound like my mucus plug? I have no clue! LOL

From what I read that sounds like the mucus plug.

Could be the mucous plug or could be early bloody show if it had pink/red in it. If it was your mucous plug I wouldn't get too excited since losing that doesn't mean much since it can regenerate and come out in pieces over time, if it is your bloody show you will probably know it in a few hours b/c you will have more or you will start to have some mild contractions (IME at least).

I have had spotting throughout my entire pregnancy and this happens on a weekly basis, and sometimes even more. This sounds exactly like what I experience. I have a sensitive cervix and I guess I cause it trauma more frequently than not. What stinks is not enjoying this time with my husband prior to the baby arriving and just generally being yucky.

Sounds like it to me. I've lost mine in small amounts. Like pp said though it doesn't mean a whole lot. Just that you are getting closer to the end

Mine was about the size of my thumb, and slightly tinted.
