So, I did clomid this cycle with ovidrel and IUI. My lining was at 7.2 during my midcycle scan (My RE likes 8+ but will continue a cycle at 7+...is that standard?). Well, Monday night I ended up in the ER with really bad abdominal pains... one of my ovaries is over 8cm, I have two 3.5cm hemorrhagic cysts on one ovary and a 3cm on the other. I can't stop getting these... they are painful, they get big (up to 6cm) and they are there EVERYTIME I have a follicle... whether I am on meds or not. Oh and the ER u/s showed my lining was 5.1... how could it thin that much in 4 days?!
My current RE is having me see someone else in their practice who is considered their cyst specialist, once AF arrives.
Has anyone had similar problems with these cysts or had a lining that thinned so much so quickly?
Sorry if this is tl:dr!
edit: ovary is over 8cm, not 9cm. Typo!

I haven't dealt with lining issues but have had two cysts. They were not as large as yours but they were painful and incredibly annoying. They put me in the hospital last october. I went to a naturopathic doctor and she put me on a supplement called Ovablend by Vitanica that was to help balance my hormones. Hormone imbalance is what causes the cysts from what I understand. I was on it for 3 cycles and then stopped per her advice. At that point I still had some cyst pain.
Meanwhile, I also changed how I eat. I am eating more organic things. I haven't been eating red meat (as far as i can help) because of the hormones used in raising cows and how they mess with the body. No pork either. Also, started eating less cheese and only organic milk again because of the hormones. The fruits/veggies that are most susceptible to being spoiled with pesticides I have changed to eating organic. Others like bananas, broccoli, and cauliflower I don't bother buying organic. You can find a list online of foods to buy organic or not.
Anyway -- I think that these things have made me feel a lot better over the past two months. I am hoping the streak continues and then next month I will get an ultrasound to see if the cysts are even still there. I don't think they are. It took a few months but I think the changes made helped.
ALSO, you should try castor oil packs. Just google it and there are videos or written instructions on how to do them. I think they helped. Basically, I used them on the days I had pain and then sometimes when I wasn't having pain just to keep the area soothed.
Not sure if this kind of advice is what you were looking for. I did enjoy visiting with a naturopath and appreciated that she wanted to help me without doing surgery or taking birth control.
