Working Moms

Survived my first day back (after 3rd leave)

It's hard for me to go back every time, and if you're following my posts at all you know I'm struggling with working vs. SAH. This morning I was NOT happy. It was freezing cold, windy, snowing, we had a crappy night of sleep, and I was going back to work, and I had to do three reviews plus have my own review! Ugh! But, I am happy to say that it all went MUCH better than I expected. People were really friendly and happy to see me and that helped a ton. I feel like I'm in a whole different world at home (and I sort of am, out here in the suburbs!) and kind of forgot how nice it would be to see co-workers and catch up. The kids did great at home, other than baby DD not eating much, so all is well.

AND, I'm starting PT at first, so I don't have to go back again until Thursday. :)

  • Glad it turned out better than you thought it would.

You could always move into the city ;-)

Kelly, Mom to Christopher Shannon 9.27.06, Catherine Quinn 2.24.09, Trey Barton lost on 12.28.09, Therese Barton lost on 6.10.10, Joseph Sullivan 7.23.11, and our latest, Victoria Maren 11.15.12

Secondary infertility success with IVF, then two losses, one at 14 weeks and one at 10 weeks, then success with IUI and then just pure, crazy luck.  Expecting our fifth in May as the result of a FET.

  • I would move back to the city...or really, I'd love like 'Tosa area. But, it wouldn't work well for DH. :)
