The Symphony can only be used rear-facing in the bottom two head rest positions, so its not a great seat for extended rear-facing. The Britax seats have shorter shells than a lot of other seats, so if you have a taller child, then I would skip them. The Maxi Cosi Pria is very large, but should last a child a very long time. The Pria should last most children until around 4 rear-facing, and then 6-6.5 years forward facing. Which would be around the right age for a booster seat.
We have the Maxi Cosi Pria and love it! It's large but because of how it reclines I've never had an issue with it fitting in any car. MIL has a Mazda 3 and it fits fine. I like how easy the straps are to adjust and how it installs. We had a safety first car seat and returned it because we couldn't get it to snug down enough at the right angle. The pria has been the least frustrating car seat we've owned.

This for us too! We have one and love it. It fits wells in my Subaru and in DHs Trailblazer. It feels soooo comfy and DD seems to like it a lot. It was easy to install and I love the little head airbags. The cup holder is also "sticky" so things don't slip out of them. Albeebaby.com has them with free shipping and you get a $50 giftcard to their site when you purchase one.
We have two Maxi Cosi Pria 70s (one for each car). We have been using it since DS came home from the hospital and absolutely love the seat! The seat seems so comfy, and DS falls asleep nearly every time he is in it. It is easy to spot clean. We bought both from Amazon so free shipping from there too.

We have the Britax Pavilion and love it. It's safe, secure, not too huge, easy to install, easy to use, super easy to change harness height. Graham seems to enjoy it.

I have the Britax Boulevard which is similar to the Pavilion. All the Brixtax get great reviews. We just installed the Britax and found it a little bit more challenging than our Chicco Keyfit 30. Getting used to any convertible may take a little time. But my friend with a Marathon loves it and says the cover is super easy to remove and clean. And they get great safety and ease of use ratings.
Re: Evenflo Symphony, Britax Pavilion or Maxi-Cosi Pria?
