Babies: 9 - 12 Months

Bathtime fun

Has anyone tried using these or something like it for bath time? How did your LO react? I am getting a little bored of the same old routine every day so looking to do some fun stuff. Any ideas welcome! Not just for bath, just in general. Winter blues...

Re: Bathtime fun

  • Yes, yes, yes!  Although I would say that you should get the 300 piece bottle so you can make more colors and know that your 9-12 month old won't care all that much but it's neat still.  My 3 year old loves deciding what color she wants and I'm thinking that she was probably around 18 months or so when she really first started wanting to do that.

Ice cubes can be interesting for them.  I fill a metal cup we keep in the tub with 4/5 ice cubes and give DS the cup.  They melt quickly but he sometimes enjoys trying to catch them and figure out what the heck they are ;-)

  • DS LOVES DDs bath crayon.  We have this one and I recomend it over and over.  We've tried a bunch of different bath crayons and this one is the best we've gotten so far.  I'm about to replace ours for the first time now that they both use it all the time.  It even lasts through being stored in a cup full of water between baths or for several days!

How fun! Thanks for the tip.

I never thought of ice cubes, I'll have to try that!

Well that looks fun! Does it clean off pretty easily?

  • yes, it cleans off pretty well.  Even the tile grout cleans up fine.  The hardest place for me to clean it off is the actual tub as it is very, very old and the surface in some spots is a little rough.  It does come up though even from there.
