1st Trimester

Trouble sleeping??

Anyone else having insomnia at night? I fall asleep no problem at night because I'm literally exhausted but then I'm tossing around a few hours later. Doesn't help that I'm peeing quite a bit also! By the time noon rolls around I can barky keep my eyes open and need a major nap!!

Re: Trouble sleeping??

  • Yes. I've noticed the exact same thing.  I used to take melatonin to help but I haven't since I found out.  I think I'm up at least once a night ha.  Hopefully you're able to get back to sleep and sleep in on weekends!

  • Oh yeah!!!  I pass out at about 8 and am awake or just tossing and turning sometime between 1-3, which sucks when I have to be up at 4:15!  I haven't done it yet, but I keep contemplating just going into work early, since I can't sleep.  It's getting a little better this week, thankfully!

  • Same here. I was on the couch at 7pm last night, exhausted. Fell asleep and then barely slept all night. It's such a light light sleep. Every time I move, I wake up. And then I have to pee.

It's your body's way of preparing for the lack of sleep coming up. It'll get a little better in 2nd tri and then worse in 3rd tri.

I remember at the very end of my pregnancy with DD I was up all the time, walking around, reading, just hanging out at 3 am.

  • That was me last night! So annoying!
