2 kids - Pneumonia & RSV! Ugh!

I took DD into the doctor on Wednesday for a congested cough and after an x-ray was told she has pneumonia and needed to go to the emergency room for observation. Once we got there, the doctor informed us he wanted her to stay the night because her oxygen level kept dipping into the low numbers. Well, it's Saturday and she's still there! She'll hopefully be able to go home today because she didn't need oxygen last night.

In the meantime, 5 month old DS got the same cough and was diagnosed with RSV on Thursday! So, DH has been staying with DD at the hospital and I've been with DS at home. Both kids are getting nebulizer treatments every 4 hours and so far DS is doing pretty good and will hopefully avoid the hospital. I'm realizing it's tougher with 2 kids when both get sick at the same time! I got to visit DD for a couple hours each day, but had to get home to DS for BFing. It's hard to balance all of this! Thank goodness for grandparents living close by and helping out.

I'll be glad when winter is over!

DD did come home on Saturday and is much much better. DS is still recovering, but seems a little better today. Things are almost back to normal!

Hang in there! There is so much nasty stuff going around right now. RSV was flying around daycare, but luckily DD's toddler room somehow escaped it. I'm also ready for winter to be over. Hope everyone is recovering!
