My MW doesn't do internal exams but today my BP was way too high at my 39 week appt.  They started to discuss our options but wanted to see what my cervix was doing before we went too far.  It was so painful and now I am spotting.  She said it was still thick...but I didn't even get any numbers, she just reached her finger up to feel.  She said that was completely normal for this point in my pregnancy and being my first, but I was still a little let down and now I am spotting all over my brand new Valentine's day undies

Pantiliners! They have been my BFF since 2nd trimester. And nothing ruins my day more than a good pair of undies ruined by spots and whatnot.

Awww  I hate looking forward to putting on a favorite/new pair of undies, and having to change them within a couple hours due to some pregnancy-related nonsense!

Ugh -- I always let them do the internals because I'm curious, but it's always painful and the spotting is no fun.  Sorry!

Put some soap directly on the spots in your undies and wash them in cold water. Don't dry them until the blood comes out. If soap and water doesn't work, put peroxide on it and let it sit for 30 minutes then wash again in cold water.
