Update: Thoughts on follie size

So I just had my midcycle u/s and bw to see if we are ready to trigger tonight and they said I have 1 26mm follie on the left side and a 14mm and 15 mm follie on the right.  I know it's great to have at least one that is mature, but what are people's experiences on how many should be "ready"?  I'm wondering if my RE is going to have us wait another day or two for the other ones to be mature or just have us trigger regardless.  I'm sure the blood work will also clue him in, but I was just curious about what other people's experiences were. Sorry I've been MIA but my home computer died and work is crazy! Hope all is well!

 

So I just heard from the nurse and she said I am going to trigger tonight! I'm really nervous!  I have 26, 15, 15 and 14 follies and with my E2 level (723) it looks like I have at least 2 follies that are mature. Does that sound right?  I think I'm going to call back just to make sure I got everything. I go in for BW on 2/28! Wow. I can't believe this is actually happening! I mean I can, but you know... Even if we aren't successful this cycle I feel prepared because we have a plan.  Thanks for all the support!

Chances are you'll trigger. That 26 is big and you don't want to O on your own without knowing. That 15 will most likely ovulate too. Your e2 levels will tell you more.

I actually also have a related question (and feel like its a total newb question, so my bad), but what if you have a follie like the 15 mentioned above, you trigger, and that follie hasn't dropped when you go in for IUI but the larger one(s) have (and I'm talking 48 hrs after trigger).  Is that follie for sure not dropping or might it drop later?  This happened to me on Sunday (and it was actually at 16 or 17 I think).  I assumed it wasn't going to drop, but had major O cramping that night (24 hours after the other ones O'ed) and wondered if it did after all?  Hopefully that makes sense and again, sorry if I'm being all newbie, lol.  And also sorry OP for hijacking the post with my question!

Thanks guys! And totally hijack! I don't mind! A good question I would probably have had eventually myself (if we get to IUI in 2 cycles).
