I'm doing a tea party theme! I figured the idea was cute, and I could encorporate my daugther's first birthday party theme too! So when I have her first birthday I plan on doing a tea party theme as well!!!!!
I believe it will be butterflies. That's also the theme of the nursery. My BFF wants my help since she's busy with her two kiddos. Which is fine by me, because I love planning parties.
Mine is butterflies. Plan on using some of the props for nursery decorations
For snacks we are taking snack sized ziplock bags filling them with single colored jelly beans on each side, rubberbanding the middle and using a painted clothes pin and wire for the head.
My sister and cousin came up with: "My Little Sunshine"
It might be kind of cheesy, but I love it. My mom sang that "song" to my sister and I all the time when we were little.
In case anyone doesn't know the song I'm talking about, it goes something like this:
You are my sunshine, my only sunshine. You make me happy, when skies are gray. You'll never know dear, how much I love you. Please don't take my sunshine away.
My nursery theme is giraffe, so that will be the theme. I love giraffes!

Still team green by choice! 7/6/2013 - Baby girl born after 44 hours of un-medicated labor, 2 hours of pushing, and emergency c-section due to transverse head. DD was perfectly healthy at 6 pounds, 14 ounces. We are thrilled!!
I don't know a lot of the details but I did tell them my nursery theme and showed them so adorable invites on etsy that go with the theme to use for invitation. Other than that I have no clue who much there is going to be a theme at the actual shower which doesn't bother me.
I'd look for baby shower ideas on Pinterest if you really want a theme because there are a lot of fun, creative ideas.
I don't actually know. There may not be any theme to my shower, but that's up to my sister in law I guess. Before I knew my SIL was hosting, my friends were going to throw me a shower at which point I believe the party was going to heavily revolve around margaritas.
Ours will probably be Muppets - partially because DH and I love them so much, and if we get our LO to love Muppets (like I did with my niece and nephew) one of my life goals will be complete.
Actually, it's because my friend suggested it and showed me a bunch of stuff on Pinterest that she wanted to do. Other friend who's helping with the shower almost had a Muppet theme for hers to, so I said yes, figuring they'd have more fun if it was a theme they liked too.
In reality, our nursery (aka- small walk-in closet) is so small we're really not going to need much stuff to decorate. But it still sounds like a fun party. (You should see the cake pops my friend wants to make. They're awesome.)

Re: baby showers!
How about: "Yay...I'm having a baby"
If you have a nursery theme you could go with that. I had a color scheme for the nursery and so the host used those same colors at the shower.
