Hello Ladies! FTM here and I'm 29 weeks and 5 days. We had a growth scan today and my LO is measuring in at 4lbs. My doctor also said we are in the 92 percentile.. What the heck does that mean?

They will probably do another at 36 weeks to make sure they didn't catch a growth spurt before they decide to change any dates.  If the baby is still in the 92% then, they may consider an early induction.

I didn't have a growth scan w my daughter she is 6 now.. I had her 1 day before due date, 11 pounds 2 oz 22 inches long.. No c section... Doctor wants to do one on this one which is fine but I'm not taking a c section. I can push this one out like I did her. :

It means you have a big baby -- but as previous folks have said, those scans can be quite off.

I had one on Friday (32 weeks) and measured about 5 lbs and the 87th percentile.  If I go to term and continue at this rate, we're lookin' at a 9 lb baby.

Does everyone get growth scans? My doctor hasn't mentioned it. I go back at 32 wks.

Thanks for all the insight! They are keeping my current due date as 4/26, but I have a feeling that may change. I passed the GD test, but I'm wondering if it could have developed later on. I have growth scans every four weeks, so we'll see where we are at on the next one. Right now, I'll just plan for a big baby. Thanks again!
