1st Trimester

Nauseated all day long?

Hi,  I'm about 5.5 weeks along and the nausea hit me like a ton of bricks on Monday.  If I don't eat, I'm nauseated.  If I eat too much, I'm nauseated.  If I eat the right amount, I'm fine for about 30 minutes until I'm nauseated again.  This lasts the whole day until I go to sleep.  I'm also wiped out -- not exhausted or falling asleep, just feeling really run down.  I can't get any work done, and I'm wondering how long this is going to last?  If it's just a week til my body gets used to stuff, then I can manage, but is it really going to last the whole trimester?  I'm not vomiting, thankfully, but I didn't expect the "morning" sickness to last all day long, every day!

I'm used to being a bundle of energy.

Did anybody else go through this?

Re: Nauseated all day long?

  • I am 10 weeks tomorrow and yes, I feel sick all day long, ugh! I was also super exhausted a little earlier on but I am starting to get some energy back finally.

I will say that while I still feel sick to my stomach, it is more tolerable now than it was a couple of weeks ago.  I am hoping it will go away soon!

  • I could've written this post myself. Ive only been able to really eat anything around lunchtime, and even then I'm nauseated. And I've been so run down that I've actually been having to leave work early so I can take a late afternoon nap, and I rarely nap unless I'm sick. Really hoping I start feeling better. It's been about a week of dealing with this now. :/
  • It will probably last through your first Tri. I have good and bad days but I know what you mean about the eating. It gets annoying.

  • I've felt exactly like that for the past two weeks. Some days are better than others, but yea this is the first tri. Yuck. With DD it let up at 10 weeks so I'm praying for a repeat.

  • I'm 12 weeks now and its FINALLY starting to fade a bit. I've had dry heaving (horrible) since about 6 weeks with major puking every day. I know what u are going through. I am sick of being sick! I have no energy, smells make me wanna puke, and I feel like I cannot tolerate much these days. But now at 12 weeks, I only puke once a day(usually right before dinner) sometimes not, but I still feel very yucky (burpy and dry-heaving)) and I have no energy. Hang in there girl. I try TUMS and it helps sometimes. I really hope it doesnt last all pregnancy.

    Hugs

THIS IS ME EXACTLY! It hit me like a ton of bricks exactly at 6w and to add to it, I'm lucky if I can get 4 hours of sleep a night. I'm worn out to the beyond, I even tried to take an hour nap in my car during my lunch break. This little bean is kicking my ass. Another thing, if I smell almost any food as its cooking and giving off its flavors, I have to make a run for the bathroom. lol
