Well, that appt was not necessarily how I thought it would go.
We went over the lab work - no surprises there. He my egg quantity is normal. My DHEA and testosterone are low, but he wasn't too concerned.
My HSG was the issue. While my tubes are open, there are some issues. There is a submucosal fibroid hanging around there, which he wants to remove. Kinda knew that could happen. I also have a slightly septated uterus. Again, not a huge deal but he wants to fix it while he is in there.
The major issues is with my tubes. I either have adenomyosis (endo around my tubes) or salpingitis isthmica nodosa (SIN). They are open, but he thinks one of these has led to my early losses - that they were probably tubal. He needs to look at the images from the HSG himself to make the determination which it is.
I guess my issues are tubes + slight hormone issues (but easily fixed). If it is adenomyosis, he'll clean that up with the lap and wants to do Femara + FSH + IUI. If that doesn't work after 3 or 4 attempts, it is on to IVF. If it is SIN, it can't be removed and we'll have to do IVF from the get go.
I'm seriously at a loss at this point. I had never thought those would be our only options. It is a lot to cope with / deal with. Vacation tomorrow isn't going to begin with good news, like I had planned. Instead, it will be clouded with questions. We'll find out which one of those I have when we come back, and I'll schedule surgery asap.
This sucks.

Yeah, I was confused too. The radiology report definitely said adenomyosis, but he did talk about endometriosis too. Who knows.
I hope it isn't SIN. Everything I'm reading talks about that being caused by STDs, but I've never had one. Ever. It can be caused by other infections - staph and strep, as well as "normal" vaginal bacteria. Tampons can push them up in there. I had a staph infection in college that was somewhere around my groin area (the doctor thought I got it at the gym), and when I was little I'd get strep all the time (I was a carrier). So I guess it could be that. But if DH is reading about it, he's probably freaking out right now!
Dx: Feb '13 - HSG shows clear tubes but minor diverticulitis; Borderline DOR; Low DHEA and low testosterone.
Moving on to IUI or IVF.

I'm really sorry, it is a lot to take in...and you are right, it totally sucks! My HSG also revealed blocked tubes and I have fibroids. Initially, I was always told that my fibroids were intramural and not the cause of the blockage. Well, a recent MRI has shown otherwise - it's submucoal, huge and definitely blocking my left tube, possibly the right.
Good luck with any trx moving forward! Fx that the least invasive options work for you!
