Cloth Diapering

washing used dipes

I have been buying some gently used diapers to finish out my NB stash. I was wondering if I should strip them or just wash like u normally would? My swaddlebees is GUC and came with a stain that looks like EBF. I know the sun will prob. get it out but DH was horrified! lol....please help. thanks!

Re: washing used dipes

  • I think I'd strip with 1/4 cup bleach and then sun.  Especially if it came from someone I don't know.  You know just to avoid yeast or something yucky.

  • that's what I figured. Is bleach better than dawn? I have a top loader, God knows how old it is, but it's in great condition.

  • Dawn won't get rid of yeast.  So I think bleach is better.

This is what I do when I wash used diapers for the first time.
