Vbac

Has anyone had a vbac or considering one? Thoughts please.

Re: Vbac

  • Hi,

    If you look to the left and scroll down, there is a whole board for VBACs... you will get great info on there.  There's also a c-section board.

    I'm leaning toward a RCS... I had a terrible 36 hour delivery and the baby got stuck.  The doctor seems to think that will happen again, so RCS might be my best bet.  But every person is different, every case is different.  Good luck with your research...

    Dear God, Since I couldn't hold my little one in my lap and tell him about you, could you hold him in your lap and tell him about me?

    PgAL and PAL always welcome...
  • Waves hello::

    I am considering one. My OB tells me I'm a good candidate. I was progressing normally but had a scheduled c/s because lo was breech.

  • I tried for one. My first labor was awful (induction at 42 weeks, 55 hours of labor, 4 hours of pushing, c-section) and I was nervous, but my second one was totally better (went into labor on my own, progressed to 10cm in 8 hours, pushed for about an hour but her heartrate kept dropping so I ended up with a RCS).

    I was frustrated to fail again but I'm glad I tried.

  • I am hoping for a green light on a VBAC. DS was a very big baby (over 11 pounds) and I stopped dilating at 4cms after a pitocen induction. IF all progresses well the Midwives think I am a good candidate for a VBAC. We`ll see what happens. The VBAC board is a good resource.

  • I hadn't noticed the Vbac board so thanks for pointing that out. I really hope I can have a vbac and have decided to deliver at a hospital a little further because the county hospital doesn't do them.

    Thanks again.
