Im trying to decide if I should try a pair of longies or shorties. Are they like clothes? Does the baby wear them all day? I feel like I change my daughters clothes pretty frequently an am not convinced these are practical? Any opinions?

Re: Sbish Wool
I use wool primarily at night. My longies are my PJ bottoms. I know people who use fitteds/wool all day, and their wool is their every day clothing. If you're going to do that, I'd recommend against sbish (or knit wool in general) because you will find yourself doing a lot of hand-wash laundry. If you want every-day wool, try upcycled or interlock, because you can at least wash those in the machine.
I don't use wool during the day, mostly because I can't afford it, but it is amazing. If you're new to wool, I'd start with a pair for night time; go with either longies or a soaker.

I use wool day and night. Mostly soakers, but I have longies too. I put clothes on my kids over the soakers, use the longies as part of an outfit, and try to change often enough that I can keep putting the same longies on, but generally have a pair of pants to wear when the longies get damp. Soakers are used in rotation.
With a newborn, I generally had to wash more often due to poo. But now with a 6 month old, I don't have as many poo issues and he's into multi size fitteds. We have 8 soakers, 4 of them appropriate for nighttime. I wash once every couple of weeks or so. Having so many soakers makes it so I can rotate them all often and push off washing.
We use wool due to issues with yeast and PUL.
