Chicco Traveler System users...help!

We registered for the Chicco Cortina SE travel system. We'd like to get an extra carseat base. Chicco's website says the KeyFit & KeyFit 30 base fits the Cortina & Cortina Together, but nothing about the Cortina SE. Does anyone know if there is a difference or has anyone personally used this with the KeyFit base? If not, I'll call the company but figured this would be an easier start.

You don't use the base  in the stroller so that seems weird to me. The bases are based on the car seat, not the stroller.

Correct. We want an extra base for the carseat while its in the car. It's the travel system so the car seat just snaps out of the base and into the stroller when they're infants.

I looked a little further and I think it will work.

You either need a base for a keyfit or a keyft 30. The stroller you have doesn't matter.

Ooh, I see! I guess what I was wondering was if the base that goes in the car is universal for all Chicco carseats. The system comes with a stroller, a carseat and a base. So if we need an extra base, which one? But it does look like the Cortina (SE or not) is part of their KeyFit system.

We got the Chicco car seat that goes with the SE system from Target, and the standard "extra" base for the Keyfit/Keyfit30 from Buy Buy Baby. They click together just fine   I think the SE actually refers to the color of the travel system, not the type of car seat, but I could be wrong!
