name thoughts again! please

hi everyone I'm back with another question about names. any help is appreciated:

DH keeps flip flopping on the names we had originally picked out now has completely changed the type of names.

what are thought on Maxim for a boy and Danika for girl? TIA!

Danika is ok.  I'm neutral on it.  I really don't like Maxim for a boy, it's a little "you-neek" and reminds me of the magazine.  Maybe just old-fashioned Maxwell would work?

I like both, but prefer Maxim spelled Maksim.

eta: I just know this spelling from Maksim Chmerkovskiy, one of the pros from DWTS. Seems less magazine than Maxim.

Maxim reminds me a bit too much if maxi pads, BUT you should use it if you love it.

I love Maxim.  I think it's a great name.  Screw the magazine .  

 I like Danica just ok, but I Love Danica Patrick as a role model.

I really dont like Danika. It reminds me of that racecar driver and has a bit of a Nascar, trashy association to me because of her. It also just doesnt sound very feminine, IMO. I do like Annika though so go figure.

Maxim is the name of the hero in Daphne DuMaurier's Rebecca (a classic gothic romance).  I like it much better than Maxwell (which reminds me of the coffee) or Maximus (which makes me think of gladiators)

Danika is great.  I am equally interested in Danica, and am not bothered by the Danica Patrick connection.

I want to like Maxim, I really do, but it makes me think of the "gentleman's magazine."

Danika is pretty, though it does make me think of the race car driver. I prefer Annika, personally

I want to like Maxim, but think of the magazine and then 'girl' (I've met quite a few girls named Maxime). I agree with pps on Max and Maxwell, you could also consider Maximilian. 

Danika is okay, I prefer it spelled Danica. I like the French alternative Danique better though.

Maxim = skanks my husband looks at while on the toilet. Ew. Maksim I could get behind, although since it still sounds like the magazine, I don't love it. Would you call him Max?

Thanks for all the opinions good and bad :P to the poster that asked if we would call him Max, Im sure we would use both at different points in the conversation. I do think I prefer the Danica wth a "c" rather than the "k" so thank you for those opinions as well
