Ovulation after stopping bc?

Thought i wud ask here and see ur responses since u recently ttc...So how soon after you stop bc can u ovulate? Lmp was 1/25. Due to restart pill on 2/2. So now is the right time in my cycle to ovulate and have quite a few symptoms but can that be already? TIA!

I stopped bc on the 26th of dec started period on the 28th which ended on the 3rd of January. Had sex on the 8th 9th and 14th of the month and then boom that happened ??I seriously didn't think it'd happen this fast.

It's completely individual. Some women ovulate right away and some don't. Chart your basal body temperature and see what your body does. When in doubt hump it out. Sex every other day worked for me.

You certainly could be ovulating that quickly...I ovulated, no joke, three days after I stopped the pill. Since you are supposed to use back-up birth control if you miss at least two pills in a row, it would make sense that your body can react that quickly in the absence of the bc hormones. I agree that you might want to chart your temperature, or use OPKs to be sure. Best of luck to you!

Glad you asked this. I had my last active pill on 12/18, got my period on 12/22 [pill induced] and 5wks after I hadn't gotten my period I took a test it was negative then I just so happened to have a physical the following week. They did blood work and it came back positive!! We didn't think it would happen that fast but were THRILLED!!

Some people get pregnant right away after the pill so obviously they ovulated their first cycle off the pill.  Some people take a little longer to regulate.  You won't really know unless you're temping, you can also use OPKs too.  I'd start with temping.

My first cycle off the pill I only half-assed temped so I can't tell you when I ovulated.  I can tell you that cycle was only 23 days long.

My second cycle was 26 days long and I ovulated on day 13 confirmed by temping and also using OPKs as a guideline (and CM of course)

Third cycle I got pregnant by temping and OPKs I ovulated on day 12...again only confirmed with a temp shift via BBT. 

A friend of mine has been off the pill now for 6 months and can't tell when she is ovulating, even with temping because everything is still screwed up.  So temp...go from there...GL
