Stains and smell

Couple of quick questions for you ladies.

Other than sunning the diapers.. Do to have any tricks for removing stains from your diapers?

Also, how do I get rid of the ammonia smell from my sons pull ups? I've heard vinegar?

If they smell like ammonia when he freshly urinates on them or when they are clean you have detergent build-up and need to strip. If it's a small/new problem you can usually do a hot water strip. If you have hard water, vinegar will make your problem worse. Some use bad-out for stains, but I usually just wait until it's sunny.
