Firstly, when did everyone's LO's start fitting into thei OS dipes? My whole stash is BG 4.0's, Freetimes, and Elementals. I'm kind of shocked that little man fit into his OS at just over a month old. I was thinking more like two months. However, thank god he did, he's a heavy wetter.
Also, I'm starting to regret getting 2 all white diapers. Most of our stash is that Dazzle (purple) color. It has slightly bled into the white PUL.
Re: Bum Genius users!
I started putting ds in os diapers at 3 weeks old (mainly because I ran out of disposables and didn't want to buy more). Some of the brands I had fit fine at that age, but others took longer. Pretty sure my BG's didn't fit very well until he was a few weeks older.
I'm not sure what to tell you about the colors bleeding. I haven't had that problem. BG does recommend using a little bleach once a month. Maybe that will help?
I was given 2 newborn diapers so I think we started those at around 10 days old, and used disposables the rest of the time. I think we started putting him in the OS diapers around a month.
Maybe laying the diapers in the sun will help take the purple out of the PUL?
We put E in her BGs at 10 lbs, but my petite little girl didn't hit that until almost 12 weeks. My nephew is 3.5 weeks and 9+ lbs, and started his BGs yesterday.
I have the exact same problem. 2 whites that are now pinkish from the dazzle bleeding on them. At first we were upset about it, but in the long run we decided, hey, they're diapers! Who cares? If it helps, it doesn't appear to have gotten worse over time.

Our daughter E was born 7/29/2012!
Surprise, our 2nd daughter P was born 5/22/14!
DD fit in hers from birth, but she was born at 10lbs and was super chunky. They were kind of bulky but they did fit properly and never leaked (poop or pee). My prefolds fit her better of course but DH used the BG until he felt more confident about his prefold skills.
For the color bleeding I'd try bleach, then sun and if nothing works at least it's under clothes. Has it tinged the whole diaper or given it a kind of weird tie-dye effect?
