High-Risk Pregnancy

My baby is to low....anyone know that problem?

I'm 8 weeks they put me on progesterone suppositories and they said I am at high risk because the baby is next to my cervix. I can't find any information about it. Has anyone had this problem. Does it lead to a miscarriage? I'm so worried idk what to do.

  • Hey there! I had a placenta previa as well during my pregnancy.  What I have heard is that It can lead to problems LATER in pregnancy.  Since you are only 8 weeks they will probably monitor you every 4 weeks via ultrasound with hopes that the placenta will move upwards away from your cervix as you get closer to delivery.  I lost my baby at 21 weeks, but it was unrelated to the previa.  I wouldn't stress about it unnecessarily until you voice your concerns to your doctor, they will be able to articulate all of the risks to you.

    Best wishes

  • Aww I read your blog that made me cry. I'm really sorry for your loss. The doctor never called it placenta previa. Is that what it is called? Thank you for sharing your story
