Homeopathic Eye Drops

I've been using Similasan Irritated Eye Relief drops off and on over the past few months for severe dry/allergy eyes.  I recently found out that I am approximately 6 weeks pregnant.  These drops contain a very small amount of Belladonna, a dangerous herb when taken orally.  Sadly I didn't look into this prior to using the drops and have used them on probably 5 or 6 separate occasions (2-3 drops in each eye for each occasion) over the past month.  I am terrified that I may have caused damage to my baby.  Is there anyone that can offer any words of wisdom or advice to this terrified first time mother?  By the way, my primary care physician didn't seem overly concerned.  He just advised me to stop using it immediately.  Help!!

In this situation, I would follow my physicians advice and leave it at that.

  • I dislike homeopathic anything, and I'm as natural as they come. I would probably accept a physicians advice.

  • I would take your doctors advice and also keep in mind that you say that's a danger when taking orally... eye drops aren't taken orally.
