is Charlie becoming too feminine? I love the name for a boy but I feel like it may be becoming to girly :S

    I truly think it could go either way.  My BIL is a Charlie, and I would not consider him in any way effeminate.

    Charles, Charlie, Charla, Charlize, Charlene, Charlotte: They all mean "Man", so even though most sites will tell you 'Charlie' was meant to be unisex, I don't think you can argue with the true meaning of Charles.

    Charlie is on our boy list (not Charles). Someone said "you can use that for a girl too" and I said...um, no. It's a boy! Go for it!
    Lil'mamaz was born on Aug 21, 2014! She's PERFECT!

    Dec. '12 - Donor Egg/Donor Sperm IVF Cycle - 4 good embies!
    Dec. '12 - Fresh transfer, BFP! EDD 8/29/13
    Mar. '13 - Missed m/c at 16w1d, baby boy stopped growing at 15w4d
    Loss due to umbilical cord clot...baby was perfect. :(
    Jul '13 - FET#1 - c/p
    Sept. '13 - FET#2 - BFN
    Dec.' 2, 2013 - FET#3 with our last chance embie - BFP!!!
    Dec' 26, 2013 - hb!!
    EDD 8/20/14 with a baby girl!
    Little S was born on 8/21/14 - 8lb, 14 oz and 20 inches long.
    We live in Seattle and used SRM for our donor egg IVF cycle

    It literally means 'man'. I don't have anything nice to say about girls with the given name of Charlie and the parents who give it to them, so I'll keep my proverbial mouth shut.

    Charlie will NEVER be a girl's name in my world.   And I will personally throttle the first person who tells my son he has a girl's name.

    Excellent boy name.  Use Charles as the given name, tho.  Gives him a more professional sounding option when be becomes an adult.

    Charlie was our pick of DD ended up being a boy.  I absolutely love it and it is absolutely NOT feminine.  Go for it!
