Hi ladies-
I started my registry at Buy Buy Baby yesterday & came across BumGenius Diapers. Anyone have experience using them or have you heard anything about them? I was hoping for some feedback, since they are $20 each (I registered for 25). Thanks ladies!
Re: BumGenius?
If you're lucky enough to get all 25, I'd not open/wash all of them until you try a few out first. I do not love these - my daughter is kind of sensitive to the microsuede (we prefer fleece or cotton) and I feel like the elastic wears out fast in BG products.
But that said, people LOVE their BG diapers :-) It's all trial and error and I think depends on the kid, your water/wash routine, etc. etc. etc...Good luck!

Lots of people have experience with BumGenius. They are very common; search through this board for more specific questions. Like any other diaper you will like it, love it or hate it based on how it fits your baby's individual shape. If a diaper doesn't fit, it will leak. It seems though that Bumgenius is a brand that fits a lot of babies well, so that is why it's popular.
Bumgenius is not known for very durable velcro, so I'd register for snaps. If you do get a lot as gifts and wash and try one but don't like them, I would guess you could return the rest to BBB, right?
BG 4.0's make up the bulk of our daytime pocket stash. I love the diapers. They fit well when DD was only a couple months old and had chubby little thighs and still fit great almost 2 years later now that she's a skinny mini with skinny thighs.
I have found that most of the elastic needed to be replaced after about 18 months of use (super easy to do), but I don't know if this is a BG thing, or whether my old detergent ate away at the elastic. Also, the aplix was horrible with these diapers. I now only have the snap version.
Like one of the pp's suggested I would only prep a couple, I started with 2. See how you like them and they fit your LO and then go from there.

I got a BG 4.0 with my Jillian's Drawers diaper trial and decided to keep it, even though it was ridiculously huge on DS at the time. It works okay but it's not my favorite. I think I've just never been able to find a pocket diaper that fits DS properly.
I also tried the Elementals and the Freetimes and found that they took forever to dry
