High-Risk Pregnancy

Funneled to stitch at 33 weeks.

I had a transvaginal ultrasound today to check my CL and it was 2.6cm below the stitch.  The top of my cervix was funneled to the stitch almost completely.  Of course I was pretty worried with me only being at 33 weeks but my OB said he wasn't too concerned because at 34 weeks our baby would be able to stay in the NICU at the hospital where I'm delivering and it isn't likely that she'd have many complications.

I've been high risk this whole pregnancy and worried about going into labor too soon and now I feel like it could be right around the corner.  I'm so relieved that we've made it this far after a 22 week loss last time but I'm so nervous!  Really praying that we make it til 37 weeks.

Just was wondering if anyone else had a similar situation with a cerclage and how long they lasted before going into labor?

  • Thank you!  I am really happy we've made it this far with virtually no problems.  He did say there's still a chance I could make it to my due date or at least full term.  Just too hard to tell so far.  As long as she's healthy I'm happy.  :D

  • This is my first time with a cerclage, so I don't have any experience for you.  I do, however, think your cerclage has been a success so far.  Making it to 33 weeks is prett good.  I will pray for you to make it to 37 weeks.  Maybe with some bedrest that is a possibility.  Good luck.
