I made a changing pad cover for our new pad, and am going to make another soon I think to have two in rotation. I've got a few fitteds that I just need to finish up, but finding the time has been difficult. I'm also waiting on a shipment of OBV for the inner of my pockets, but now I'm running low on elastic. Grr, if it's not one thing it's something else.
Suddenly my life doesn't seem such a waste,
It all revolves around you.
Nothing going on in my house creativity-wise. I'm just keeping my head above water with feeding LO and keeping my house clean. Really hoping we get through the 4-month wakeful soon & I start getting a little time without a baby attached to me soon.
Suggestions for future challenges - sew your own pre-folds (I seen a really cute pattern using old t-shirts where you could put a pocket in the prefold), cloth wipes, portable changing mat, up-cycled wool soakers.
I made fleece liners! Yes, this is a sad DIY project considering all I needed were scissors and fleece, but I have no sewing machine or snap pliers or anything else, so I was pretty proud
I kind of want to start doing more myself (dying to do the snap to velcro conversion so DH stops complaining about snap diapers) but I really can't decide if it's worth investing in the stuff I need....

I made a thing to hang DD's hair clips on. I covered a round wooden plaque with the most adorable fabric and attached a wide piece of ribbon to it that we can clip her clips on. I just want to make or find some cue hot pink accessory, like a flower or bow, to put on the plaque, and I need to hang it. I got more wooden plaques and cute fabrics to make some decorations for our living room, but I'm not doing those til I get or borrow a hot glue gun. Spray adhesive is for the birds!!
We have a laundry chute that goes from the upstairs down to the basement, and I'd been wanting to make an entry into it on the first floor. DH cut through the kitchen wall to get to it a few days ago, and my mom made a cute curtain to go over it. I love it!

I'm continuing my slow march through the free online diaper sewing patterns. I cut out three different patterns last night and sewed up one. I've got prefolds and a NB diaper rental package, so I'm trying to stick to sewing OS or at least "small" (8-20lb) dipes, but I'm so far removed from the newborn stage...they look TEENY!
I've got a yard each of bamboo and hemp fleece as well as what I recall as being hemp terry - so I'll probably serge up some extra insert/soakers from that at some point as well.
I just *accidentally* bought a set of 4 thirsties size 1 diaper covers off ebay , so I'll have to be sure to sew any new covers in larger sizes, too.
I have fabric that I meant to use to make roman shades and valances for the spare room (soon to be baby's room). I probably should get that done one of these days, too....
I "Made" cloth wipes, and by made, I mean I cut them up while my mom serged them for me. Same with the unpaper towels.
I made a crib sheet for Tiny on friday. I was so proud of myself until Target had crib sheets on sale and they had the exact chevron print I wanted but had to settle on grey checks that I DIY'd. Annoyed. I spent 15$ on stuff for the crib sheet. Could have bought crib sheet I wanted for 9$.

But now it's a WAHM original! Pretend you bought it from Etsy. : )
yeah.....I didn't do that great of a job. I kind of crapped out before I got the elastic on it. So its basically an envelope sheet.
My package of supplies just got here today! I have bamboo fleece and bamboo velour for some fitteds. I also bought a snap press and snaps recently, best idea ever.
I'm going to make my DD and my niece pink covers to match the dresses my parents got them.

I made some fleece liners out of the right kind of material this time. I also finally finished making a shopping cart cover that I started with my SIL was pregnant with her first child (who just turned 4). It is the absolute hardest thing I have ever sewn in my whole life, mostly because I neglected to mark where the pleats should go. I am so proud that it is finished, and DS thinks he is big stuff since he can ride in the buggy now!
Still busy with converting all our aplix dipes to snaps - it took forever to remove all the darn aplix. But I'm seriously LOVING not having diaper trains in the wash anymore. And the snaps look sooooo much neater than the worn out aplix.

Blech. I've got five diapers that I'm in the process of replacing the H&L landing strip, and not only did I have to rip off the H&L but all of the stitching on the entire tip half of the diaper. What. a. pain. I am never doing this again.
