on SNL about "going home for the holidays." It was a re-run but it was about staying in your childhood room and mom making dinner and all that jazz.
It got me wondering....do a lot of people still have the childhood home to go back to?
Do you? Is your room set up like when you were a child? Do you love that you have that? If you don't, do you miss it?
I don't have that. My parents split and my mom lives with step-dad and my dad live in another state. Kinda makes me sad that I don't have that.
Re: Saw a skit
I dont have it either. We moved to the US from the middle east when I was a kid, so obviously I dont have that. But here we lived in apartments, swapping up for larger ones a couple of times, and didn't get our first house until after I graduated. We sold that one a few years later too.
I kind of always figured that my grandparents bungalow, legally my dad's, would become mine at some point, but my grandmother sold it last year so its gone. The furniture in that house was reflective of the 1970s and stayed the same my whole life.
