Standing alone! Walking?

DS has been trying to stand alone since my brother's birthday, the 27th of January. He's only been able to do so for a quick second and then slowly sits down or grabs hold of something around him.

Last night he managed a good probably 10 whole seconds!!! It seemed like forever to me, like time stood still too lol.

My question is, after your LO started standing by themselves and were able to do so for a longer amount of time without falling, when did they start walking?

DD started taking steps unassisted before she could stand alone (weird, I know).  That happened about a month ago and for the past month, she's been taking 3 or 4 steps before sitting down and crawling and has been gradually figuring out the whole standing thing.  Friday she just took off and walked the whole length of the hallway.  So it was about a month for us.

Oh how funny! Ha ha that's awesome though, you go little girl!! 

Only a month, yikes, I knew I thought it would be soon Your LO sounds about how my niece was, she didn't stand alone really, she'd take a few steps, then within the next 2 weeks she just took off and never looked back!

This is the most exciting time for me I think. I'm not a newborn person lol (:

My DS did the same over the weekend. A good ten seconds standing and I am thrilled to be entering this stage. I too am not a newborn person. I love my honeybear to death, but walking, feeding himself a bit and sttn is more my comfort level. Lol

DD1 was standing alone consistently around 9 months but didn't walk until 15 months (she took a few steps, but she was walking at 15).

DD2 pulled to standing at 8.5 months, stood alone at 9 months, and was walking at 10.

My DD started standing alone at 14m and started walking at 16m.

My DS started standing alone a few weeks ago and has been taking up to 6 steps in the past few days.

LO started standing unassisted at 8 months, and just started walking over the weekend...so it took her a little over 2 months.

E started pushing to a stand about a week ago, and took ONE step towards me yesterday before falling into my arms. She needs to start soon because I can't carry her 25 lb tush around anymore!
