Are there any other SAHM who are also students? I have a 9 1/2 month old. My husband works 12 hr shifts so he can barely help. How does anyone else get school work done? I have 5 classes this semester (huge mistake!) which are all online except one. Any advice is much appreciated.

Re: SAHM
If you find an answer, please let me know.
I'm barely managing 2 courses and a volunteer project while SAH
I was working on my PhD when DD was born. It's hard. For her first 2 years, the only time she was at a babysitter was while I was in class. I did most of my work while she was sleeping.
Sometimes she could play by herself for a little while and I could sneak in some easy stuff quickly. It helps to prioritize what you have to do and figure out what you need to get it done. Figure out what is the "easy" stuff and what needs your undivided attention.
Since you have online classes, I'd suggest you see if you can find someone to watch him a few hours a week (maybe another student) so you can get some focused time in.
Can your DH be on baby duty on his days off?
I have no idea. I am not going to school yet, but I plan to in the near future. I'm hoping to go this fall, so LO will be 16 months old then...not sure what I'm going to do! I'm hoping family will help me as much as they can, and as much as I'm comfortable with, but I also found a nice SAHM and babysitter with a son my son's age...she's only asking $3/hour because I'm not sure I can afford even that!
Best of luck to you (:
I have 3 kids and have been in school for a year. Applying to the nursing program for the fall. My oldest 2 are in school so that helps a lot. My husband is gone until the summer so I normally do my work when my daughter is napping and/or on the weekends and she plays while I am online doing what I can.
The 5 classes were a bit much IMO to bite off at one time. Just need to remind ourselves that it WILL be worth it.
Except working moms usualy bring in an income which will pay for said daycare/nanny. When we decided I needed DD to be in daycare so I could do my work, we had to take out loans to pay for it. That adds up over the years and is best avoided.
