just wondering if anyone has tips for easing LO's transition to a new daycare. She is 20 months. She is moving from an in-house daycare to a center. I thought I would take her by the center to visit before she starts going there.. hopefully she can play with the other kids for a bit while I'm there. Then explain to her that it's going to be her new "school". On her first day or two, leave her for only part of the day. I'll also ask the center if they have any tips. I'm hoping it isn't tough for LO.
Thanks for this question because we are about to do the same thing.....

we transitioned when my LO's were 7 months and 3yrs. I was more worried about the 3 yr old. I had them visit several weeks prior to the start date so they were familiar with it. they played there for like 2 hours one day a week. They both did great.Drop off may be hard the first few weeks...kids usually adjust pretty well though..I'm sure she will love all the new toys
