I want to hear what other women do when you don't get that BFP? What sorts of things do you do to stay positive and not feel discouraged each month that rolls around without getting pregnant?
From someone thats been doing this TTC thing a while, get a hobby. Don't obsess too much and spend that energy in healthier ways. Even if its journaling or blogging.
I like to try to do something to take my mind off of things when I'm feeling down. I read or do a craft project. I also just started blogging about TTC in hopes that I'll have a better outlet for my feelings instead of crying (or holding back the tears) if I'm feeling down. I haven't shared my blog with anyone I know IRL so I don't feel like I have to hold back.

I let myself be as sad as I want on CD1. I will mope around, cry, and feel hopeless if I want without trying to push positivity on myself. I feel like I'm able to get all of the bad stuff out on one day then I'm ready and excited to move on. I just hope I get a BFP before this strategy gets old and stops working. We also have big macs for dinner on cd1 so that makes everything better too.

Yah, I'd like to add that I do all of my things mostly on cd1 as well...except for cuddling the dog...I do that every day but it won't make me fat! lol

TTC #1 since May 2012
May 2013: First R.E. appointment
DH: SA is good
May 2013: CD3 Blood work-normal June 2013: Hsg-Right tube blocked
July 26, 2013: Starting Follistim for IVF #1
August 2013: IVF #1 Cancelled- Abnormal embryos
October/November 2013: IVF #2 w/ICSI
November 8, 2013: Transferred two early blasts (no frosties)
I've been watching what I eat and am going to start the Couch 2 5k so each month I haven't had a BFP I stay positive by saying it's one more month to lose more weight. Not much but it's what keeps me positive. I also thank God for my three daughters and cuddle them a little more when AF comes! Definitely helps.

I joined a gym and that has helped to give me an outlet for stress. It also helps me keep my mind off of TTC. I also drink a lot of wine on CD1 . I let myself be as depressed as I want just for that day, and then I move on and remind myself that CD1 is the start of a possible BFP month.
I generally keep busy and make a lot of plans that are great but that I'll have to cancel if I get knocked up. I'm on a Hood to Coast (running relay) team for this summer (not impossible for a preggo to do but very likely not something I'd be able to do, just in terms of fatigue probably). We are doing a lot of skiing this winter, too. Eat sushi. Have some tasty cocktails or beers. I'm back to Crossfitting too, which I'd sort of fallen away from. Again, there are gals that can Crossfit while knocked up but most of them are 26, not 39. So I suspect I'll need to dial it back when/if I get KU and am enjoying what I can do right now.

I'm definitely not impressed when AF comes around. My plan for this month since I'm sure I'm out is to drink lots of wine and eat sushi!! And I also get to start drinking green tea again, YUM!
Not going to lie, CD1 rocks my world, totally hate it, but who doesn't! I get pretty down that day and the next too. But then I think I could get a BFP in 28 more days, and that isn't that far away! I also have been keeping super busy with crafts, sewing, part time work, play dates, throwing get togethers, cooking, etc.
also, I have been at this for over a year, so I think as time goes on I seem to get my hopes up less and have learned to focus on other things. So I guess that isn't really being positive about TTC, but it focuses on the positive things that are going on.
I just restarted my hobby (sweepstakes) for a great distraction. It's worked really well, actually! Now whenever I'm bored, instead of researching pregnancy-related stuff, I enter sweeps. My focus is no longer constantly thinking about when/if I'm ovulating and when/if I can test.

Same for me! Reminding myself that that means I've got 4 more weeks to lose as much more as I can helps me switch my focus from not being pregnant to what I can accomplish.

C25k is how I got my start in running. Which is incidentally what I do to stay positive. And drink wine. Well actually I run so I can drink wine.
On cycle day one I think about all of the great things I have in my life and remind myself to stay thankful for what I have. Other times when I get bummed I make plans (it could be for something 3 years down the road--like remodeling my kitchen), I browse around online and stay away from all things baby. I also really enjoy cooking and eating.
