Umbilical cord ... when did it fall off?

My first lost his after only a week. Cole is approaching three weeks, and his cord doesn't look like it is going anywhere. When did LO lose their cord?

Mine were the opposite! DD1 took forever to lose hers. I think it was around 4 weeks! DD2 lost hers around a week, which of course I then thought was too early!

Mine lost it at exactly 3 weeks. Someone on here said the pediatrician told them to gently pull the skin back around the cord. I did that and the next day it fell off. If that hadn't worked I was goingto start cleaning it with alcohol.

5 days! Seemed really early to me. We had his newborn pictures taken at 8 days and it was gone. I always see newborn pictures with cords still attached!

12 days,but it came off on my shirt while I was holding her for her newborn pics (blech!) so who knows how much longer it would have stayed on.

5 days, but there was some that remained inside of his belly button that didn't fall off until about a week later. The doctor said nothing to worry about unless it looked like an infection was brewing.

DD lost hers at 5 days old.  We never messed with it at all, it just fell off early and has had problems healing because of that.

both DS's lost theirs at day 15...so annoying!!! 

i'm just so glad it's fallen off.

i wouldn't help it off but make sure you're cleaning it every day...hopefully it'll come off soon for you

With my first DS, it took about 2 weeks. My littlest DS just fell off at 6 days!! I think the difference was dry cord care. With my first son, they had me swab with alcohol and this time they didn't. My pediatrician even said that the cord would probably fall off sooner this time!
