I know when I was pregnant with DS Hannah Elizabeth was our girl choice, but Hannah was also very popular at the time. DH is still voting for Hannah this go round.
We own two coffeeshops in Seattle and there are indeed a lot of Hannah's - but still it's not quite Emily And Nameberry's stats cut off at 2011 - I like this as another good place to look other than Social Security.... https://nameberry.com/babyname/Hannah
It's a very pretty name in any case! If I were in your shoes I'd be ok to use it.
Lil'mamaz was born on Aug 21, 2014! She's PERFECT!

My name is Hanna! I'm 23 and I don't remember there being a lot of other kids with the same name (including Hannah). And I think it's faded from being trendy for sure. I don't know many kids under age 8 or so named Hannah.

I absolutely love the name Hannah and have ever since I was a little girl. If I ever have a girl, I will absolutely name her this and I don't care how popular it is!
It's popular, but I think it's got a classic appeal. Also, it's a palindrome-- same spelled forwards and backwards-- so I think that makes it extra special.
DD is named Hannah. Even though it's higher up in the ranks, it's not like hundreds of thousands of people get that name every year.
We live in Illinois--her name was #31 in the state in 2011 when she was born. There are only 246 other girls named Hannah in Illinois that year...so it might be popular, but there aren't tons of people with that name.
