Fessing up to my BFP :)

So I got a BFP a couple weeks ago and have been nervous to post about it on here because I was nervous something would happen and because I just started posting here and was worried everyone would think it was a drive by. I was assured by one person that she'd back me up, though, so here it goes.

What we did: I drank a little green tea while waiting to O, but not a whole lot. We were on a 4 day mini vacation right around my FW, right around New Years, so I think that helped.

How I found out: On January 15, I asked the ladies in chat to convince me not to test, and they did, but I still tested the next day, when AF was due, against my better judgment. And woohoo, faint line!

How I told DH: I called him at work and said "I think I'm pregnant again" (loss in November). He said "Why do you think that?" and I said "Because I took a test and it says I am." haha

I confirmed with another cheapie and a digital the next day.

Symptoms this month: I kind of thought I was out because my CM was kind of watery. I ended up testing because I realized the kind of cramping I was having was kind of similar to the feeling I had when I was pregnant before.

Thank yous: I know I haven't posted a lot here, but I learned a lot from this board. Chat ladies, thanks for everything! Especially Brittany, KMM, PM, and Tamma. Everyone I talked to there is great though!

I am thinking about all of you and hope you get BFPs soon!

Here's how to tell if you're a drive by... If you know what a drive by means and if you're afraid you are a drive by.

You're right. Not many people knew who you were. Some of the chat ladies do but the rest of us on the board don't.

Congrats and all. But you could have just come back into chat and told the girls who actually knew you. Good luck.

yeah, I debated whether it would be seen as more rude to post it, or to NOT post it after posting here and participating for about a month and just go straight to my birth month board. I decided on this. Sorry some of you would have preferred the other. Good luck to you, too.

And OP yours certainly wasn't the worst kind of drive by we've seen here but your short time posting combined with the break you seemed to take for the last couple weeks contributed to the drive by-i-ness of your post.

The break was because I have spent the last two weeks terrified. I had a recent loss and wanted to wait a bit.

I am done defending myself though.

I think it's understandable to wait to tell after a recent loss. Sorry you went through that, best wishes for this pregnancy!

No need to attack someone for a BFP just because they weren't around a lot. The point of this board is that we are trying to get BFP's. Either be happy for someone or don't comment on their post if you don't feel happy for them or just don't know them.

Ahhh, I love it when people bring up undisclosed information after a flaming as a way of guilting people for flaming them.

Ugh, and I wasn't even tyring to flame her. I was just trying to explain why it would be considered a drive by. Currently I'm more annoyed by her not quoting people she's obviously responding to. ;-)

I tend to think drive-bys are worse when people claim to know the tone of the board then decide to post it anyways. Also the "well I'm off to my BMB now" comes off as more than slightly biitchy.

ETA even though I post here all the time if I get a BFP soon I will go straight to 1st tri  with a post titled "TTGP Grad "and people can find me there.I don't chart and so all my BFP post would be is one big AW.... this to me is just as bad as a drive by

ETA: My lack of brackets in mobile caused me to skim over that but still, same idea. She's trying to make everyone feel bad. I don't and I won't.

I'm on a mobile too... Skimming made you miss where she says " loss in November, scared to post in case something happens"

You can post hateful things if you want sure, but who does it help?

I don't have an issue with her break or waiting to disclose a BFP. That's understandable and was included in her OP.

Separate and apart from that, I have an issue with someone knowing they're a drive by and still posting it. Also, she said she had someone who would back her up if she posted it. Besides the ignorant Nicole white knight, I don't see anyone coming to your aid, OP.

They may have just congratulated you and moved on, but they're not defending the fact that you are a drive by.

I love chatting with the girls too but it's not hard to understand that just because you chat, it doesn't mean you're active on the board. It works both ways.
