Pregnant after a Loss

Q for late pg ladies or STMs

I got an invitation to present at a workshop that is scheduled for when I will be 35 weeks pg.  Workshop is a 2 1/2 hour drive from where I live.  I think this will most likely be totally fine, right?  It would be a good professional opportunity for me.  Let me know if you think this is a crazy idea.

Re: Q for late pg ladies or STMs

  • I recently turned down an opportunity to present because it was in third tri and my doctor will be limiting my travel.  If this would be a fantastic career opportunity, and you have had an easy going pregnancy, then I would probably accept, but have a back-up ready to jump in for you.  You never know if your date can get moved up, you go into early labor, or you end up on bed rest.  Sometimes those things are out of our control.  I hope it works out and you give a stellar presentation!!

  • Thanks ladies!  That was reassuring.  I will say yes to this opportunity and hope everything works out!!  I appreciate the advice.

  • You might want to check with your OB.  I'm not allowed to travel more than an hour away from home starting at 34 weeks.
