We have an elective at 16w3d. I am hoping to get a pretty good idea. Long story about my MIL being worried about my registry. She needs it to be done so that all H's family can start buying things off of it for my super early "surprise" shower which falls at 20w.
Educated guess (which was correct) at MFM's office at 14 weeks, but the tech told us not to go buying anything yet. Confirmation at 17 weeks at OB's office and then again at MFM's office at 18 weeks.
Accurate guess around 14.5 weeks (I am having ID's so she had two places to look). Confirmed 3 weeks later at 17 weeks with a different tech and again at 20 weeks with yet another tech, and again with the amnio results.
TTC since May 2006. After 3 failed Clomid cycles, 2 failed Injectibles/IUIs, 2 failed IVFs and 1 failed FET, we moved on to adoption!
Last ditch FET resulted in BFP, and identical twin girls!
Thank you all. I am feeling pretty good about my elective next week. I think we should get a pretty good idea. It's sounding like boys will be pretty easy to distinguish at this point and if it is still ambiguous it's likely a girl.
Got a good shot of baby a at 16w, but were told the wrong gender for baby b. we discovered they were both boys at 20w.
TTC in 2009, Dx: Unexplained IF
Three TI cycles (BFP...miscarriage), five IUI attempts and 2.5 IVF cycles later...BFP!!
