Hello Ladies. I am 12weeks and 5 days pregnant and I have a very healthy 2 year old little boy. This pregnancy has been pretty eventful and so far I have been thrown several curveballs. At 6 weeks I struggled with cramping which I was told may or may not go away and by 9 weeks I was put on Procardia for high blood pressure. Both of those visits were less than pleasant but todays took the cake. I had an emergency ultrasound and OB visit due to bright red spotting and cramping We found out today that I have placenta previa where the placenta is completely covering my cervix and I have a very large tear and bleed. My OB said he is cautiously optimistic and told me that one of two things will happen. A- the tear heals and my body absorbs the blood (it is very large) or B- it tears more and eventually I have a placental abruption.and lose baby. Right now it is just a waiting game and I am on pelvic rest as well as I have to take it easy. I was working but had to take a Leave of Absence because my job is very physical so now I am basically going to school and taking care of my 2 year old. My mother is worried so she wont let me do much and wants me to stay off my feet so she is doing what she can to help with my son. It is hard not knowing what is going to happen and I dont go back for 4 more weeks.so for now I just watch for more bleeding and pray that my baby is alright. Baby was fine today during ultrasound and was kicking and moving around like crazy, HR was 162. Thanks ladies for your time and support.
