First U/S yesterday - a little scared

I had my first u/s yesterday. Everything went great. It was so amazing to see what the little baby looks like and to see the strong heartbeat. I thought I was 12 weeks, 3 days and the u/s tech told me the baby was "a little small". So I wasn't nervous when I left, but today I got an email from my doctor saying the baby measured 10.6 weeks which is much smaller than I expected. So now I'm nervous that the baby is measuring 2 weeks smaller than expected. FWIW, I am positive about my last period and get them fairly regularly.

Please tell me I'm worrying over nothing!

    According to my LMP I should be a week ahead. I didn't ovulate until CD 20, so they moved my due date.

    It happens a lot. You probably ovulated later in your cycle.

    Do you chart?  Its very possible that you ovulated late. 

    Since you saw a strong heartbeat I would not worry!

    2 years, 2 surgeries, 2 clomid fails, 2 IUIs, 1 loss, IVF #1 - 10/25/10 = BFP!, DS is now 3.5yrs!
    TTC #2 - 6/12 surgery #3, FET #1 & 1.2 = BFN, 12/2012 FET #2 = BFP! DD is 1.5 yrs!
    Surprise! 12/16/14 BFP, loss #2 12/31/14

    I can't wait for the "im getting a divorce" post in 5 years or so because your husbands were fed up with your disgusting chair asses from playing on the knot all day and getting fired 4-5 times for not doing any work. you guys are all winners!! ~ Laur929

    Thanks for all the positive feedback! I really need it! I have another u/s next Monday so I'll hopefully see how much the baby has grown this week.

    That makes complete sense then, you're just more like 11w rather than 12w. It's nothing to fret over.  If I hadn't been charting, they would have dated me based on LMP 2 weeks ahead of what I actually am.

    Based on this I wouldn't worry. As the others have said, you likely ovulated later.  You may have implanted later as well.  Plus u/s dating isn't perfect.  Don't worry!
