Question regarding Zantac for LO

This and that

For those of you whose LO was prescribed Zantac- How long until you noticed a difference? I was prescribed it today for Baby H and just wondering how soon I might expect to notice a change.

I also saw improvement quickly, but then it stopped working after about a month.  He's on Prilosec now.

It just took a couple of days for me to tell a difference. I'd say it was about a week before full effects kicked in. It has been a life saver for us.

 Yes, it was a bummer!  The Prilosec is annoying because it has to come from a compounded pharmacy, but it's working well for him.  Hopefully it will stay that way.  Yes, I DEFINITELY noticed an improvement in sleeping.  The poor guy was so upset and eating constantly all night long trying to make his throat feel better.  He has silent reflux, so not a spitter.

I started noticing a change within a few days. It worked great for a month, then she went through a growth spurt and we had to up the dose. The dosage is determined by weight with Zantac so make sure your pedi is increasing the dose as LO grows! We had to double our dosage after her growth spurt and it helped a ton!

I noticed a difference within a week.  Her sleeping was definitely better, she no longer grunts in her sleep.  We are staying on the same dose and starting to wean her as she grows.  The pedi thinks we can stop it by her four month check up.
