Intro & Hello

Hi my name is Wendy, I?m 29 yrs old. I just had my second visit with my fertility doctor. She told me that I need to make a prenatal appointment because I?m high risk. I have high blood pressure .She wants me to visit before I get pregnant I?m a little scared . What should I expect at this visit.??? Anyone in the same boat.

They will probably do blood work and get baseline information.  I am sure you will talk to your doctor about the whole nine months and any issues.  Good luck TTC and prayers your pregnancy is not complicated by hypertension.

I have hbp and been dealing with it for the past 10 years. I've been on meds the whole time and now going on 26 weeks and so far been okay. I did have high bp at 2 of my visits and they did some blood work and a 24hr urine specimen to get a baseline. The doctor said it was too early for pre-eclampsia. One of those visits I was nervous because it was my second visit so I need my bp was going to be high because I was nervous while I wait. One main thing they stressed was exercise, gaining minimal weight and watching salt intake. I also try to sleep on my left side at night, supposedly that helps with bp.
