There are all types of fun ones---how you are carrying, if you are eating sweets or salty, the ring test, etc. We always try one or two of them out because I find them fun!
Google the ring test--it's easy and a way to have fun before you actually find out.
Ignore the snarky poster about the u/s...some people need to lighten up
I like playing the craving game, Salty vs. Sweet, with friends. I have a pretty good track record, I think I'm 9 for 10 being correct! There are a few cravings that throw me for a loop, like I think boys like citrus fruit and girls like berries... this is my own OWT

I'm pretty sure ultrasounds are not mythical. I've had a few and I'm confident they are real.
OP ask some old people!!! They know all of those silly tests. The only fun baby shower I went to was when the host polled a bunch of older women in the girls family had planned to do all the silly tests beforehand, so they had all the stuff. Tallied up what all the OWTs said, and then they did gender reveal cupcakes. I'm not big on showers or gender reveal parties, but I thought it was cute. Way more fun than any other silly game.
Someone told me once that if your having a girl, she will steal all your beauty. So if you get a beautiful glow then your having a boy. Lol. Idk if this is true or not (probably not) but it's funny.
Off bc since 2/11. Started opk's on7/11. Temping since 1/12. DH SA= Normal :)HSG was normal. 4th cycle of Letrozole 5mg daily. 3 failed iui's. Had 4th one done, fx for 12/18.

Dangling a pin over your belly on a string an see if it swings side to side or spins in a circle. Hold someone's baby where their feet are over your belly and see which foot they pick up. I forget which means which but you can look those up. If you already have kids where the spot on their head is where the hair swirls. If its in the middle the next will be a boy if its to the side the next will be a girl I think

Once again. I read her post. She asked for GOOD tests. Ultrasound is the only good one out there.

As for myths well I did the urine and baking soda test. Some urine, in a cup...teaspoon of baking soda, if it fizzes like Sprite its a girl.....foams up like beer its a boy. All I got was Sprite.

The only time my panties are bunched is if I decide to wear a thong, which isn't very often.
My sister swears by this, said she's predicted 13 of 13 correct (friends and family) based on it:
It predicts the sex of a baby by the location of the placenta in the uterus in your early ultrasound.
******************************** This is a multi-center prospective cohort study of 5376 pregnant women that underwent ultrasonography from 1997 to 2007. Trans-vaginal sonograms were performed in 22% of the patients at 6 weeks gestation, and Trans-abdominal sonograms were used at 18-20 weeks gestation, at this time the fetal gender were confirmed in 98-99%. The fetal sex was confirmed 100% after delivery. The study also addressed the bicornuate uteri with single pregnancy in relation to placenta / chorionic villi location. The result was tabulated according to gender and placenta / chorionic villi location. Bicornuate uteri with single fetus in different horns were studied and tabulated
Result Dramatic differences were detected in chorionic villi / placental location according to gender. 97.2% of the male fetuses had a chorionic villi/placenta location on the right side of the uterus whereas, 2.4% had a chorionic villi/placenta location to the left of the uterus. On the other hand 97.5% of female fetuses had a chorionic villi/placenta location to the left of the uterus whereas, 2.7% had their chorionic villi/placenta location to the right side of the uterus. 127 cases were found to involve bicornuate uteri with single foetuses, most male fetuses were located in the right horn of the uterus and showed right placental laterality (70%). Most female fetuses 59% on the other hand, were located in the left horn and showed left laterality (59%).Moreover, most of the males located in the left horn exhibited right laterality (89%). Also most females located in right horn exhibited left laterality (976.4%). In addition this research indicated that there was a possible link between renal pyelectasis and placental location, and it might be used as a genetic soft marker.
Conclusion Ramzi?s method is using placenta /chorionic villi location as a marker for fetal gender detection at 6 weeks gestation was found to be highly reliable. This method correctly predicts the fetus gender in 97.2% of males and 97.5% of females early in the first trimester. And it might be helpful to use as a genetic soft marker in relation with fetal pyelectasis.
In simple terms-
*placenta located on right- 97.2% chance it is a boy *placenta located on left- 97.5% chance it is a girl *in a bicornate uterus- 70% males implanted on right with right placental laterality; 59% implanted on left were female with left laterality *those males that implanted on the left- exhibited right laterality 89% of the time. *those females that implanted on the right exhibited left laterality of the time.

Re: Boy or Girl???
An ultrasound done around 18-20 weeks.
90% correct? More like 50%.
It was wrong for both my kids.

This. Or any of the genetic testing that can tell. Everything else is just for fun.
Considering OPs first sentence was about gender prediction MYTHS, i'm sure she realizes she's asking for things that are just for fun.

I'm aware. I read it. Myths are not real. So I decided to give her a factual option instead.
I took the Intelligender test last Sun. My husband laughed and griped me out for paying $40 for something so dumb!
Ultrasound is the only way to go.
Fun Myths --- chinese gender predictor, Intelligender if you want to waste money, the Drano test, etc. There are a ton on the internet I believe.
