Are you keeping all stuffed animals with those plastic/bead-type eyes away from LO? People keep giving us stuff that is not age appropriate and I worry about the small chance of him getting those eyes off and choking. What say you, 212 bumpies???

Re: Stuffed animals and choking hazards
Maybe I'm too lax about this stuff but I try not worry too much. If I saw them start pulling at the eyes or other loose pieces then I would either take those pieces off or take it away. They had a foam type book that they chewed on and I noticed Natalia chew a chunk off one day that was a good size and I pulled the chunk out and took that book away and the other one that we had like it. Before then I would say "You shouldn't chew on the book but I'll read it to you" to try to get her to stop but that didn't happen. I will do the same with other toys.
That being said, I'm obviously not giving them toys with loose parts that are meant to come off and have warnings of being choking hazards.

This. Right now she's not too interested in the eyes or noses.
Everything has some amount of risk. We have things we will allow in their cribs (each gets a lovie, a taggie blanket, a Dream Light, and then their blanket to go over them), things we allow in their play yard (anything that we feel is relatively safe without constant supervision), and then things we have outside of their play yard (anything that we feel requires a higher degree of supervision). Like their Little People castle - definitely not a choking hazard but it's got sharp corners and they could potentially hurt themselves if they were trying to walk and then fell on it, so this isn't something that we leave in the play yard for them to play with while we have them shut in there while we get ready for work. But their ball pit and activity table we feel are safe enough to be in the play yard.
