Cloth Diapering

Success

So I've been using prefolds and covers over the weekend and I've fallen in love with them.

However, I've still been avoiding cloth diapering overnight.

Last night after searching for 10 minutes for the 4th hemp doubler I thought I had somewhere (3 are in pockets right now for her naps), I gave up.

My one year old little girl successfully slept from 8pm until 7am this morning in a prefold and cover. We also didn't have any rash this morning!  Which is what I feared more than leaks.

Score one for prefolds, but I am going to work on my hemp doublers in the next few days so that I can have additional absorbancy in there for overnight.

I never thought I would be using cloth this much when I started out.  Now I'm even thinking of trying out wool/fleece.

Re: Success

  • The wool has helped a ton with overnight and preventing diaper rash for my son.   I really love my wool covers now!  And, I've actually tried my hand at making my own...much less expensive than buying them.  Good luck!
